Interesting betting odds

Post by Dominic »

As mentioned previously, I am fascinated by how betting and opinion polls sometimes tell different stories. However, this particular page proved even more interesting:

https://www.oddschecker.com/politics/br ... e-minister

It is the betting on who will be the next Prime Minister. Note, that as Boris Johnson is already Prime Minister, he isn't shown on this list. What fascinates me is how many people think that Corbyn will be Prime Minister when Boris' run is over. 10 times more likely than the next name on the list.

To me that shows that the punters think that Johnson will get in and make such a hash of it that people turn to Corbyn in desperation.

Interesting times... :o

I agree. Which is why I found the quoted odds so surprising.

I’m surprised they haven’t already pushed Keir Starmer to the front.
