Alex's Farm - July Update

Post by galexinda »

Announcement on FB Page:

Friends and followers of our shelter we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for always supporting and helping us bring strays to safety. We would never be able to do so without your continuous love for them. But I’m afraid the time has come to inform you all of our plans for the next few months.
Unfortunately the moment we all feared is here. Moving our shelter to a new location is no longer an option for us.

So after long and tiring efforts and countless problems we decided that closing down our shelter is the only thing left to do. Through the past months we had to face serious issues and overcome so many obstacles. Local authorities pressuring us to move, we even had people trying to hurt our dogs and stop us from doing out duty of rescuing stray dogs. All of these leading up to the date that we would have to move. We always knew that there would come a day when we would have to relocate our shelter and our doggies. And we would have to say goodbye, to what we and our dogs called home. With the owner always on our side, and your precious help we managed to save, look after and relocate hundreds of dogs. We did all we could to find a new place, a piece of land, somewhere where we could re-build our permanent shelter but nothing has come up to this day. So the time has come to now more than ever work together so that all of our dogs have a new home and new families to look after them after we close down.

Our goal for the next couple of months is to do all we can to find new homes, families or carers for the remaining dogs in our shelter. If you know someone who is looking to adopt soon, or if your family or yourself want to help please get in touch with our page as soon as possible to help make this final transition as easy and quick as possible. Please don’t hesitate to contact us and see if we can find a way that you can play a part in this difficult situation that we’re facing.
