So at the end of your shopping you´ll simply have two more potentially infective items. It makes much more sense to not use them and rather disinfect your hands after shopping.
Don't understand your reasoning take lidl's for example, everyone sanitises their hands and then wears gloves, how are you going to transmit anything you then touch?
You only have to touch anything already contaminated (e. g. the handle of your trolley, a pack of noodles...) because it was exposed to infectious droplets another customer or an employee exhaled. If you didn´t think there was a risk of that you wouldn´t wear gloves in the first place.
So what do you suggest stay in doors and starve to death or go out and try and shop as safely as possible

Sadly, but of course understandably, these big stores will not deliver to Polemi.
However we are using the local store in the village for our main weekly shop

Can't see that at all. Why do all hospital staff nearly always wear them ?

At the end of your shopping you return the trolley to the rank and AFTER that you drop your gloves into the bin provided and after getting into your car you clean your hands with sanitiser. Just treat your gloves as contaminated, don't touch your face whilst you are wearing them.

Just use common sense and get into a routine of washing/sanitising hands on a regular basis. Treat everything with suspicion.

Yo do know, Trev, that disinfectant isn’t successful against viruses? Soap is, as is alcohol gel...
