As the prospect of a Brexit no deal becomes more likely, pensioners who live in Europe and transfer their sterling pensions into Euros can only watch as for every £1,000 they transfer they will now receive €50 less than they did 7 days ago

The exchange rate alters daily and some times several times a day. We just keep an eye on it and have money ready to transfer when the rate suites us.

Currency rates change by the second following world events, statements by politicians , world leaders and extra large currency deals which might be required for business deals or just speculation, last days it’s only. been going one way

Indeed it is one way and not the right way! Only 7 days ago, money experts were predicting the pound to rise to around 1.33 against the euro by the end of this month!

We have all been in this situation before and no doubt will be in it again in the future. This is something we have learnt to live with as it's out of our control. When it's out of our control, there's really no point worrying about it. No doubt if there's a disastrous Brexit then everyone who uses the pound sterling will be suffering, not just those of us who live here in the sunshine (& blistering heat!).

One thing that people who live on a government pension can do though, is where possible, have it paid into a Sterling account. In that way, people are free to choose what exchange rate they want to use when using Currencyfair or Transferwise to send money here.

So, with the second wave of Covid in the UK and talk of 7,000 lorries stuck in Kent, people are already starting to bulk buy in the UK, on the basis that rationing will come in during January and queues in supermarkets

You remainers are the worst losers ever, I would hate to play you at sports. You also have little faith in the British economy and too much faith in the EU who continue to shaft the UK at every opportunity.

Wait and see what happens, every ones doom and gloom predictions on a leave have so far been wrong, markets would crash the pound would plummet.

We were always told, a no deal is better than a bad deal!

The DUP ain’t celebrating and looking at Rightmove for house on the mainland already!

I personally am thankful we didn’t bomb out with no deal, under a pandemic... but will reserve judgement.

Personally I believe we've all lost and as they say the proof of the pudding will be in the eating. Although we have an agreement of sorts, it's only for trade and not services which is our biggest export to the EU and also additional costs for import and export documentation will be charged somewhere as will the 50,000 Customs Officers and guess who is going to pay for them.
According to the Fishermen they've been sold out which is no surprise because that's in Blojo's nature but in fact we all have but there's alot of people who just haven't realised it yet.

The Welsh were very much in favour of Brexit, moreso than the national average. And weren't most of the fishing rights sold off anyway?

According to Welsh reports, the voters in "Little England" which is in Pembrokeshire where the vast majority of the population are English retirees was enough to swing the vote in favour of leave in Wales. That's not my view on what happened but can be checked on line.
Fishing licences and fishing boats the biggest shares are owned by about five British companies.

Do not cheer too loudly; no deal has been done yet. It requires all 27 members to approve and ratify the deal before it can be implemented, plus, of course, the UK itself. I do not think there is any problem with the latter because the Labour Party is supporting the government.

I see the Home Secretary In all her wisdom says the UK will be a safer place after the Brexit deal even though Police Chiefs express concern at the UK being excluded from lots of European security data, amazing how all these ministers know better than the people who actually know what they are talking about.

I heard every home will be issued with a dummy CCTV camera and a sign saying "smile you're on camera".
