I understand there are many issues for the car industry in general outside of the switch to EV's . I have read that there is a world shortage of Magnesium which goes into the Aluminium used for car production.
The leading US producer has said that they can only supply for a year and after that customers will need to seek alternative supplies. In addition the global bottlenecks mean Germany cannot ship materials in and export the finished product out.
Pent-up demand over covid and money printing will give us high inflation, which will hamper the globe generally.
