My laptop is over 4 years old and originally Windows 8.1 system. I upgraded it to Windows 10 (free of charge) some time ago.

Received a message stating the Windows 10 support would stop soon unless I accepted the latest update. Completed what I was doing and when I closed computer it automatically went to Update and Restart setting. It took nearly 4 hours and computer kept closing down and restarting > login page (logged in) > another few minutes wait and then home screen appeared and computer has been working more quickly since the updates.

Yesterday my ''Small form PC'' did this update, it did take about an hour but this will depend on your processor and other factors, should you go ahead with this update? I would say yes, you can check on what these updates will bring you by visiting Microsoft web page.

I usually try and hold updates until I am going to bed at 11pm. Then I choose 'update and restart' and just leave the laptop on, and then it is ready for use the following morning..
