iOS 9 on ipad

Post by Mark »

I have an approximately 5 yr old I pad, which will now not allow upgrades beyond iOS 9. It works very well, but the limitations of available upgrades is starting to cause problems.

Can it be upgraded, or is it time to get rid?

Thanks Yudswell

The iPad cost over 500 euros in Public, and I suspect was allready a yr or so old when purchased.

Having said that, this built in obsolescence is so unfair, and I feel unethical.

I was in the same boat , an old iPad 2 which had reached the limit of upgrades .

So took the plunge and bought a new one , it’s so much better and faster , just the way of the times , built in obsolescence.

Appreciate the responses, saw new? I pad for 399 euros in public today, waiting to see if it is 2017 or 2018 model (staff were unsure) prior to purchase.

Thanks once again

The A1822 is the 2017 model , but the model change date was in March , so you could get one that is a 2018 .

The A1873 is the 2018 model , it has pen support .

These numbers for WiFi only slightly different if you get a sim model .
