Wiziwig users beware

Post by glang3000 »

I was recommended to the Wiziwig site to watch the football on Sunday, any body who has used this site will know you have to keep closing extra windows it opens, shortly after this I got an email from AOL to say they had blocked an attempt to enter my emails. was it me and if not enter a new password. I did not follow the links as I thought this was fake, however the next day I have an email from some one who has quoted my password says they infiltrated my computer on the back of some porn, I do not down load porn but Wiziwig send it to you, and he wants $6400 in Bitcoins or he will send personal details from my computer to all my friends.

As my Computer is worth about £500 and all my friends know me and won't be shocked he can get lost but be warned, this site is unsafe.

Most of these sites are full of virus's, if you want to watch football for free download something like redbox or better still get a paid streaming site, better quality and safer

I've had a few of those over the years from one or two sites. I just deleted them , more or less publish and be dammed sort of thing, never heard anything after that.
If you're worried just change your password but don't lose any sleep over it.

They are just playing on your mind don't do anything but would suggest you change passwords at least every 6 months don't use the same one for multiple accounts do not use one from one account and then re- use it for another.

You may just be a victim of coincidence. Spammers rely on such coincidences to get people to respond. Send out 10,000 emails to people pretending to be from UPS saying that they need to download their receipt, and a few of those messages will be received by people waiting for a package from DHL.

Similarly, if you send out 10,000 emails saying that you've filmed somebody spanking their monkey to mucky filth, then you can guarantee that a proportion of the recipients will be using one hand when they open that email message.

The two things you should never do with such is emails is click any links, which everybody knows, and also, don't reply. If you reply, your email gets flagged as "live" and you go onto several "mug punters" email lists.

Easy solution, stick a bit of Band aid plaster over the camera, then happily spank away, err that's what a friend told me ,

My 80 year old sweet as cherry pie mum got such an email. It was actually very nasty and passive aggressively threatening. She had only had her new computer a relatively short while and I am reasonably certain had not engaged in any camera action or porn! The email appeared very personal and it genuinely distressed her. Needless to say nothing happened and she reported it to the police!

I got one of these emails about a year or so ago, demanding $500 or they would share photos of me, pleasuring my self, to my friends on Facebook, as I knew it was all Bulls**t, I ignored it, but the worrying thing was they had my Facebook password, I don't know if this is relevant or not, but both my wife and I always received dodgy emails, after logging on to the free wi fi service in airports around the World.

Thanks for all your help and support, my 24 hours are up and I have not heard from him again so I hope that's the end of it, I have some blue tack now over my camera though I am sure I never do anything worth watching.
