I view FB on my Pc using Firefox browser - I had the 'facebook purity' add on which seemed to have stopped working after the latest 'update' but this morning it has offered me the option to switch back to 'classic FB' which I have done.

WOW!! Thank you so very very much J B. I have downloaded it and it is like a miracle has happened. Back onto the CLASSIC FACEBOOK now (Thanks to you) I have also blocked all those other items that I do not want to appear and it is working.

I've used FB Purity for years also... They work really hard to get rid of all the stuff that nobody likes about Facebook.
Fluff Busting is definitely what they do.
I particularly like the filter options which allows me to stop seeing all those photos of kids standing on the doorstep in school uniform every year when the September new year starts and more recently, all of those private sales of homemade facemasks 🤐

I see that Facebook.com is changing, and all members will have to use the new version from September.

I put my face book back to the original to see the difference, i preferred the new look and reverted back again, people just need to learn to adapt and adjust to change with all aspects of technology.

But considering that at the moment there is a choice... The original look, and the New Look, it is a shame that the choice cannot remain

The effort in maintaining one interface is bad enough. Having to cope with two must be a nightmare.

I wonder if you would offer the same advice if you didn't like the new version?

Thank You for those two links, I have saved then, hoping that they are safe..
I run a quite large F B Group in the UK and I have been moved to the New Format numerous times.. I have up to now managed to get back to the old 'Classic' pages..

I will certainly give one of them a try should I not be able to get back to the old pages in the near future.
I am not afraid of change, but there are things missing on the new page that I use a lot..

Thanks again..

BUMP - sorry

FB seems to have reverted to that horrible new 'upgrade'

Despite me setting FB Purity to 'switch back to the old design' ... it doesn't

Anyone else having this problem since today?
