Crowdfunding for British rape-claim woman exceeds expectations
A CROWDFUNDING appeal to raise money to cover the legal fees of a 19- year-old British girl who claims she was forced by Cypriot police to withdraw a gang-rape complaint, has raised over ??19,000 (???20,200), exceeding its ??15,000 target, all within two days of being launched....

A total can of worms...........will we ever know the truth
Re: Crowdfunding for British rape-claim woman exceeds expectations
Guess what? I contributed zero, zilch, nowt, nothing! Why should anyone who has allegedly committed a criminal offence be rewarded?
Re: Crowdfunding for British rape-claim woman exceeds expectations
That is exactly how I look at the situation
Trev..

Assuming the money goes on legal fees I can't see the problem. It is hardly giving the girl a reward.

I'm with you Dominic, there is a whiff of injustice about the way she has been treated.....................if Devil and Trev were around in the 1830's the Tolpuddle martyrs wouldn't have got a look in !

Neither justice nor injustice alleged before a court hearing. How has she been treated? Any worse than the Israeli kids she effectively sent to clink for several days by her alleged apparent lies? It is they who should be compensated, not her.Princebytor wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2019 1:56 pm I'm with you Dominic, there is a whiff of injustice about the way she has been treated.

The fact that the 'Israeli kids' returned home to a heroes welcome winds me up.

If indeed she was 'gang raped' surely a medial professional would have been involved, and would therefore make an informed decision as to the truth of the claim ?

If you're at all active on social media, there are so many claims going around about this girl - including that she has done the same thing in Spain. How anyone could know this given her name has never been released, I've no idea!
On top of that, questions as to why she's been kept in custody for what they keep classing as an act of "mischief".
They said initially she was held in custody as she was a flight risk, which is understandable as she's a tourist as far as I'm aware. Ok, they could let her loose and keep hold of her passport but then, where would she reside pending the court case and who would pay for her accommodation?
So many questions with this case.... without the Crowdfunding appeal :-/

Apparently her parents live here, but in the past many people have just crossed over to the north, I'm guessing that might be a reason, she's been locked up.PhotoLady wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 3:27 pm If you're at all active on social media, there are so many claims going around about this girl - including that she has done the same thing in Spain. My opinion , if she made up the rape claims up, she should serve a hefty sentence, because the innocent guys she accused could of been locked up for a long time

It seems that some posters have already decided that she is.
