Another photo from an abandoned village in the Paphos district - who knows it's name?

No, it is not Souskiou, Yioula. There are not that many trees there...

Is it the abandoned part of Statos Agios Fotios, Max?

Wow.... Jon, you got it right. It is Statos. On the old road leading from Agios Photios-Statos to Panayia.

Max, we have passed through it quite a few times en-route to the Troodos via Lemona.
On a couple of occasions, we stopped, as we believed it had been partly abandoned as a result of the war- however, on looking it up on Wiki, it appears that it was partly evacuated in the sixties for safety reasons- heavy rainfall had caused extensive landslides.
So, although sad, it will not feel quite as desolate again! Also didn’t realize it was quite so high- nearly 1000 metres.

It's actually only the abandoned village of Statos.

The abandoned village of Agios Fotios is further along the valley.

Stato Agios Fotios is the new village they built to replace the two they abandoned.
