Cyprus Buses

Post by mike strand2 »

Changes are afoot for Cyprus buses.

If you are over 63 years of age and habitually reside in Cyprus, people are entitled to get a 'blue' Social Card that will give them 50% off the fare. This is both local and inter-city buses. See below

Obtain an application form from Social Ins offices

Whilst I am still waiting for my blue card, I do have a paper permit from the Citizens Centre that I use on the buses.

Hi daveg, sorry Iv'e completed it already with my personal information on, so wouldn't like to put that on here for all to see.
But what I will say is if you take photocopies of your documents with you you can fill the form in there, I was asked if I wanted to but I didn't have my documents hence I have to go back now.
The documents you need are photocopies of your MEU1 Yellow slip or similar, your Passport, your Birth Certificate and I also your latest Electricity Bill.
That's it, ask for the Blue Badge/Bus Pass form and complete it there.
Hope this helps.
