Re: Cricket
I agree.
Not a great fan of cricket, but what an absolute cracker of a final.
I was glued to telly, and yes, well done to both teams.

Re: Cricket
I didn't know about the super over, thought with the runs tied N. Z. might get the win as they had 2 wickets to spare
Re: Cricket
Yes a great day for UK sport, Cricket, Tennis and F1 good win by our man on his home track, I just did not know what to watch, ended up channel surfing from one to the other. What a final Super over this match will be shown for many years.

Re: Cricket
Not normally a great fan of tennis or cricket but this was a spectacular performance by both sports perhaps never to be repeated on the same day
Must try to find out the secret of how tennis players can exert so much energy for so long

Re: Cricket
Surely when England were all out for 241 and NZ were241 for 8 then NZ should have won having less men out.
Re: Cricket
No, number of wickets is irrelevent. It is the score that counts. If the scores had tied, then they would have counted who hit the most fours and sixes, which was England. This was why NZ needed to get more than England in the "Super Over".
