With apologies to Morecambe & Wise, the above looks like the right words in the wrong order.

We once used one of those Dyson fans in a rented small apartment during a hot summer in Paris. It worked very well and was very silent (and looked quite stylish too). A.

If I don't use my movable air-con unit outdoors on cooling mode for the dog it is also very handy to use it indoors. In "only fan" mode it shifts the hot air out of the house when I put it in front of the open sliding door in the cooler morning hours. This built-in fan is very very strong with a capacity of 8000 m3/h.

Max are you talking about the Dyson type fans?? I am interested in one as I find the noise of my upright fan quite distracting.
Ahh, just looked at your final statement, suspect it's something stronger ;)

Max's one is about the size of a fridge. They have similar one in Philipos and in the kebab joint we ate in near Polis the other night. Actually, we were in Coffee Island near Pinguino's this morning, and they wheeled one out there too.

We have two pedestal fans and they are very quiet. Both bought from Paps two years ago.

Size like a American fridge but not that tall. Yeah, Green Air was very successful selling three 40 ft containers of them last year...

Forget the noise, it's only for 1/2 hour until the air is exchanged in the house. If you stand in front of it.... you have to hold on tight..

No idea mate. They are standard upright swing fans. They have three different speed settings and by altering a button they either rotate blasting out the air or stationary. We are very pleased with them. :D

I use a small electric heater on the kitchen counter on the fan setting in the summer (no windows in that area) just to circulate the air combined with a basic pedestal fan for the rest of the apartment. Cheap and effective and have found our electric bills vary little over the year.

Funny, I get so used to the sound of the fan in my bedroom at night, I miss it at the end of summer! I almost need it fall asleep. I keep the fan going as long as possible in October, moving it further across the room and pointing it upwards.

I have an Airmate fan in the bedroom and for the TV. They still make a noise, but less I think than the cheaper ones. They have a remote control, which I know makes me sound lazy, but I find it very useful at the start and end of the season when you keep turning them on and off.

I've always been very curious about the Dyson fans, especially they ones that also heat in winter. But they are so expensive I'd have to be 100% sure they'll work as wish them too before I'd buy one.
