Paphos authorities to charge over €100 to clear unsightly private plots

The Paphos municipality council decided on Friday to raise the fee to €100 plus VAT for incidents where municipality crews are obliged to intervene for the clearance of weeds on private plots of land....

I think that is a reasonable amount.. I just hope that they are able to collect the fee

Over here in the East, they send you a letter asking you to clear your plot, if you ignore them, they send a crew out to do the job, overgrown plots next to houses, are dangerous re fire etc, I think 100e is very reasonable to send a van with a team of workers, clean and then take away the rubbish.... they add it to your council fees, so you have to pay up.
