Authentic Bavarian Sausage, Consumer verdict?

Post by cyprusmax47 »

We had now two nice and sunny weekends with the chance
to start outdoor cooking. Many people posted that they will
try the Authentic Bavarian Sausages from Lidl - what was the
consumer verdict then? I personally love them the most grilled
outdoors on a proper wood fire. One cannot beat this taste!

I cannot believe how relevant this post is... I just had half a pack ( 7 of them after all they are pretty small) with eggs for my breakfast. I Love the little buggers they hands down beat a traditional English Pork banger.

The so-called English sausages offered by Lidl are the world's worst, IMO. In fact, they reminded me of the sausages we used to get during the 39-45 war.

Hi Max

Finally had the Barvarian sausages with the potato salad you kindly gave me the recipe for, which was delicious - thank you. Thumbs up, was all good and have bought some more sausages to make some more, looks like Lidl are going to continue to stock them. X

Hi Aphrodite,
Pleased that you enjoyed them unlike the "gourmet" which perhaps
were not able to prepare them in the right way.
Ten different people (even Cypriots) I gave away a package
and they all liked them. If one overcooks them they are of course dry as
they have no extra fat added. (contain only meat!)

I agree, 7 makes a portion.

Did I like them? They were pretty good. Certainly better than most sossies I have bought in Cyprus. Could do with being bigger though.

They are just the right size for me to eat the leftovers cold
the next day in a multigrain bread roll with mustard for breakfast.
(and they are Authentic, and not allowed to be bigger...)
