Confused, ex-pat with an S1, does one assume that the 1.7 tax still applies. Regards Dimsum

The S1 replaced the E121 , it is a form issued by the U.K. .Happy in Cyprus wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 5:46 pm What is an S1? The white cards which wife and I have are called E121s I think.
I took my MEU3. Your GP will probably ask for details of your medical history too, eg blood pressure, diabetes, etc etc.Varky wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 4:45 pm It appears that I am one step ahead of Tsadaken in that I have had my request to be a beneficiary of my chosen GP accepted (2 days after applying). According to the email I received accepting my request, I must now visit that doctor to 'validate my identity'. Does anyone know what that entails, what documentation is required?
Yes it is... At first it seemed to be that the Authorities wanted a copy of your S1 or E121. But now it seems they are accepting that if you have a medical card you must have had one of these forms..Happy in Cyprus wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 1:15 am Thanks. So basically the E121 is the same as the S1?
Now this is different to what was posted a day or two ago, and what we were told at a Pharmacists.Fisherman Phil wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 10:51 am The new system worked well for me this morning. Had an appointment with the Cardiologist at 9am, so went to my GP first for a referral note.(£6). Also obtained a note from my GP for repeat prescriptions, and took it to my usual Pharmacist. Apparently you can use any Pharmacy displaying the GESY sign.
Confused! Are you saying that even though you already had an appointment with a cardio, you had to get a further referral from your GP? I also have an pre-booked appointment with my cardio coming up (I have them every 6 months) and assumed that this meant I already had the referral, as it was ongoing. What would happen if I just turned up for my appointment without one?Fisherman Phil wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 10:51 am The new system worked well for me this morning. But that is not what the Pharmacy that we usually use tells us. She says that the prescription is sent to her online and we go to collect it.. And we have also read that you have to choose and register with a pharmacy... Obviously 'one of your choice', but you then always use that pharmacy..Fisherman Phil wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 12:56 pm Trev, your GP prints out your prescription, and you take it to the Pharmacist of your choice.
At least, that's how it works at the Iasis Hospital
I too already have an appointment with the Cardiologist at the General and also one with the Urologist there as well.. I will just turn up at the allotted time and date and see what happens..josef k wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 5:10 pmConfused! Trev, all I can do is repeat myself. My GP printed a three month prescription, which I then took to the pharmacist that I have used for several years. At no time did I tell my GP which pharmacy I intened to use.trevnhil wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 5:41 pmBut that is not what the Pharmacy that we usually use tells us. As far as I know we are not even registered with a GP of our choice yet
Having received some guidance as to what documentation to provide, I now need to Know whether I visit my GP of choice during normal surgery hours or are there special times allocated to progressing the validation?Varky wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 4:45 pm It appears that I am one step ahead of Tsadaken in that I have had my request to be a beneficiary of my chosen GP accepted (2 days after applying).
