Xeros River Ruins

It looks like the sun is here to stay now, and Cyprus is quickly turning brown. The Asprokremmos is no longer overflowing, and soon, the rivers will no doubt start to run dry again. Before that happens we decided to go for a drive up Xeros Valley, and explore some ruins by the river. If you fancy a paddle, don't wait too long...

I love the photos from the fox and the owl, magnificent. OMG, sure it made you jump when the owl suddenly appeared and you high up that water mill...

I'm very envious about the fox and the owl!

I did that drive 2 weeks ago, there was still a fair amount of water flowing down the river then, but I wondered how much longer it would last. I only went as far as Panagia tou Sinti though, which was lovely and peaceful, as usual. I didn't realise you could drive further up the river to more ruins.

Before the winter rains you used to be able to drive all the way to Roudia Bridge.
