Border crossing - Kato Pyrgos

Post by Ray in Goudi »

Has anyone entered the north at Kato Pyrgos recently?

I have always bought insurance at the border previously, but I'm told the insurance counter is not open there now and you have to buy it in the town. Was also told that you can pre-buy this by email.

Has anyone done this and got an email address to be able to do so?

Thanks

You can buy insurance from Andreas Karos in the town, just before Station Cafe. It only takes 10 minutes and you can wait in the cafe with a brew, if you want. If his office is closed just call him because he will probably be in the office upstairs.

Don't know about pre-buying but his email address is karos.a@cytanet.com.cy. Tel 99444403, 77771064, 26522303

You say 'in the town'. Which town?

I have found that it can be pre-ordered online by using this email address:

tijen.imer@daglisigorta.com

http://daglisigorta.com/ is a website in Turkish but I can't find an English translation on it.
looks like an insurance company.

Emails replied to very quickly and in good English.

Thank you for that Happy in Cyprus.
I use Chrome on a laptop but couldn't see an option to translate. However right clicking on any page does offer to translate to English.
