Dogs and The Paphos Mall
Can I walk through the Paphos Mall with my dog on her leash?
I've just found this >>>>> http://www.cyprusupdates.com/2011/03/pe ... in-cyprus/

That is good news, a shame about the beaches though.. I notice that the article is from 2011... I wonder who will be the first to try taking their dog through the Mall I doubt you could 'Pick up' after a dog and leave no trace at all

This doesn't come from a government source, so I'm rather sceptical. If true, I hope it requires a leash & if a large dog, also a muzzle.
Re: Dogs and The Paphos Mall
It has been lawful to walk dogs in public places since March 2011. It has taken some time to sift through to those in charge! I have walked at the back of the hotels strip with my dogs and have not been challenged although the no dogs signs were still about! I think they have been removed now though. The problem with going in the Mall, there could be justification in asking you to leave, because of the presence of food. They do have a strange distinction between small dogs and larger ones though. For instance, they will often have a small house dog that is loved by the family while the larger one is tied 24/7 in the garden!, At least it seems prevalent in our village!

Excuse me for asking but why on earth would you want to walk a dog through the Mall?,apart from the risk of it messing it could trip somebody up!
Re: Dogs and The Paphos Mall
I agree, although you can walk in one end, the other its a lift or an escalator. I don't see a reason to take a dog inside the Mall, that is unless its a guide dog. Why not just walk around the outside?

The Paphos Mall closed some years ago and is currently up for sale. I suspect you mean King's Avenue Mall. Other than assistance dogs, I don't see any reason why you would take a dog into the Mall and suspect you would be asked to leave by security if you did. Quite right too in my view.
In answer to the question, it would be the cleaners in the Mall who would have to clean up the mess and disinfect the floor. Dog owners would never bother to take all the necessary equipment with them.

Or they would put it in a bag and tie it to one of the railings.
