Re: Cyprus Driving Licence No.
YOUR DRIVING LICENCE NUMBER IS '5' on the licence.
Why are people still debating this?

Checked again and with both me and my husband our id numbers are mentioned at 5 and on the temporary licence they translate 5 as Licence number. ha ha

You did say earlier Lloyd that the police should be asked. Why you couldn't phone & ask beats me, so I did. As I stated above, No.5 is your ID number which is also your driving licence number. The cop said everyone will use that same number in the future on all official documents. Which is why he joked that we'd soon have the number tattooed on our foreheads.Happy in Cyprus wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 1:39 am Ditto, 5) on my licence is my Cyprus ID number, which is why, so far as I am concerned, 4d) is the licence number. Three Cypriots in the motor trade who I asked also say 4d) is the Licence Number.
4d is the employee's number who issued the licence.
Rather than perpetuate this saga Lloyd, give the police a call and ask.
Re: Cyprus Driving Licence No.
Interested in this discussion about your driving licence number I can definitely confirm your driving licence no is your alien registration number which is no 5 on the licence earlier this year I got a speeding ticket along with 2 points on my license.

I haven't reread all the posts but just an observation:
When you register on the Road Transport Department web portal you are asked to submit your ID number (select Alien Registration) which is number 5 on my driving licence.
You are then requested to submit your Driving Licence Number which in my case was 4d.
This site enables you to receive Important SMS messages eg notification that the MOT is due on your vehicle.

My licence has to be renewed on 2nd January, unfortunately my appointment at the Citizens Advice was cancelled due to an outbreak of Covid at their offices which caused them to be shut down.
I've been informed this morning that renewal of licences have been extended by six months due to Covid; can anyone confirm this is correct?

Re: Cyprus Driving Licence No.
If no one comes Back with confirmation I would call at a police station and ask there..

Re: Cyprus Driving Licence No.
I finally managed to contact Citizens Advice about my driving licence expiring on the 1st January 2021. Was given a new appointment for the 4th, so I can't drive on my Cypriot licence until my paperwork is processed according to the gentleman I spoke to.
I just happen to have a valid UAE licence, does anyone know if these are valid in Cyprus, I ask this question as I was told by a friend that Cypriot licences are not accepted in the UAE.
