The snake looks like a coin snake to me, but not an expert.

Looks like the plastic type from Jumbos . If it was counting ,one ,two three , it might be an adder.

If it was shiny, then a coin snake..... harmless... Great photo!

It has a very odd head.

It doesn't appear to have a squitty little tail that looks as if it belongs on a much smaller snake, so it's not a BNV. The tail is the second sure way of identifying the BNV, the blunt nose being the first. 😀
