Driving Licence-DOT

Post by Lincoln »

Here is info- from another site.

Things have got a lot easier...they are now running an appointment system

You go into the DOT walk past the desk which is on your right...to the hallway ....there is a door just after the toilets on your right...knock on that door to enter...if locked go to the next door along on the right...go in and turn right through the adjoining door...you can make an apointment in there with the manager

It took us seconds to make the appointment

This has been posted before but just to clarify, after you have your appointment you have to pick up or download the TOM 7A form. On your appointment day, go in the main door, turn left and left again into room 8. Once your form has been checked and approved you need to go back out into the main entrance area and get into that queue. Be prepared for a long wait. There was much upset and complaining on Friday as you have to queue for more than an hour to get your photo done and although the payment desk is then right in front of you, they are making people go to the back of the queue and queue again for payment. On Friday, the earliest appointment was for 29th March.

Not convinced paying a fixer is any quicker, we printed off and filled in our forms and turned up without an appointment the process took 2 hours and twenty minutes. The gentleman behind me in the queue turned up with his Cypriot fixer who apart from being paid to fill in the forms told the gentleman what queues to stand in, he was behind me through the whole process and a bit lighter in his wallet
