I have edited comments from a FB post just to let people know the outcome:

'Valerie has been found safe and well in the UK'.
'She made plans to return to the UK some weeks ago. She transferred her money to a UK bank and then she leaves the care home and gets on a plane without telling anyone'.

Care homes are not prisons, very easy for someone to go and sit outside or walk away.

People who want to leave will always find a way to do that. It is not a prison indeed.

Since this story was in the news someone I now know worked there and knew this particular lady has told me stories about the poor attitudes, lack of staff training etc etc.
You don't know for sure, about this lady's situation, as none of us do, so not really a good idea to speculate.

She can't be that vulnerable if she managed to fly back to the UK on her own steam.

The main thing is, she is safe...
The rest will all come out in the wash sooner or later.

Nothing to do with the care she was receiving in Paphos, according to someone who has known her well for over two years and who was also directly involved in the search earlier this week. Even she was unaware that Valerie had returned to the UK!

I did search but found nothing. The police list is updated so she is officially still missing. As I read here it appears some people have information, please come forward and inform the police.
