Haggis

Post by memory man »

Does anyone know where I can buy Grants tinned haggis
or have seen any make of tinned haggis.

I do not want Kolios homemade or Jim Pecks homemade haggis.
I have tried these previously and do not like.

There is a frozen food shop on the right, on the way to coral bay, just before you get to Paphos computers.
They import it frozen, I presume it comes from Scotland but I have been wrong before.

In recent years some of the Haggis have managed to get over Hadrians Wall.
So it is quite possible that the frozen ones could be from the North of England..

The Grand supermarket more or less next door to the fish shop has Grants tinned Haggis. Philippos sells sliced in the frozen section

McSween Minerva?

Could be wrong but I don't think he would, it's sold locally here and has to be the blandest haggis ever :(
They also do a vegetarian version  Which says it all really

I also go for Grants and I'm just over the border :D

Sorry June - he DOES sell it - saw it with my own eyes in the Freezer. We love it [it is made in Edinburgh]. MacSween used to have a Butcher's Shop but sold up to concentrate on Haggis Making. He sends it all round the world and is very popular especially in Russia. We can't all be wrong. It is NOT the one that is sold in Philipos - that is not good Haggis.
The vegetarian Haggis is very spicy and tasty too.
