Flu Jabs..
Re: Flu Jabs..
We would also like to know the process as we will be getting the 'flu jabs too. We know it won't protect us from all strains of 'flu. Like Dee we have a lot of Vit C both as a supplement and in fruit and veg. However, some people are much more susceptible to getting 'flu than others. My mother was a classic example.
Re: Flu Jabs..
Touch wood! I don’t often get the flu! But I have had it very badly at times in the past. Since as you get older you have less resistance to many germs, I find it sensible to take sensible precautions to try to avoid getting it. Especially as I will be traveling at Christmas time.
Thanks, Jim for posting the info which I asked for.

Kansas.
As I posted, the procedure is you go to the General knock on the appropriate door and get your free Jab, I believe in them but it seems some do not. Up to the individual, only to say if it avoids just that one strain of flue it will be worth any effort to get it done. Just a personal opinion this, I avoid restaurants bars etc during the flu months, I have noticed over the years many coming here have cough and flu type viruses brought over with them.
Also no idea as yet if GESY means a change to this procedure, we will soon be finding out.
You cannot avoid all contacts of course, but I have for sometime kept away from venues that have crowded areas in local winters. The word hermit comes into this

Re: Flu Jabs..
I will split this topic in two. Bear with me. If you want to talk about the process of getting a flu jab, do it here. If you want to discuss the merits of getting jabs and vaccines, do it in the other thread.
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10071
Both threads are good topics for discussion, but I think it would be better if they were in different threads.
