We have always used NFU Mutual https://www.nfumutual.co.uk/insurance/motor-insurance/

Never the cheapest, but consistently the best in all Which reviews.

Alternatively, if you prefer cheaper options, look here.

Hi Garry,

Welcome back to the UK, try the following websites for quotes; Money Supermarket, Go Compare, or Compare the Market.

I asked my moter insurer in Cyprus, Top Quotes, who they could recommend in the UK to insure my small used car there. They recommended A Plan who agreed to insure it. The problem which I faced was that after being away from the UK for nearly 17 yrs, I had no insurance record in the UK, Some UK companies were sceptical of my Cyprus issued no claims bonus.. But A Plan accepted me, which was a releif as they are a good company.

The best search engine is Top Cash Back, if you take out the insurance through them you get the commision that the other search engines earn, often over £50.

I have earned over £1000 with them over the last couple of years on one household insurance I paid £125 for the policy and got £100 cash back.

Well I've searched several sites, so far everyone requires a U.K.based company as a accepted proof of no-claims
so it looks as if they don't recognise Cyprus earned no claims so will carry on searching

' Firefly ' also has insurance experiences to share from when she returned to the UK.
