Hearing Aid Batteries.

Post by Lincoln »

Hello, at the moment I have a free TEST hearing aid in one ear. One of the questions is "How Long does the battery Last".

Can those of you with hearing aid let me know and what is the cost of the batteries.

I'm pretty sure my battery lasts about 10-12 days, used all day,
12 -14 hours.

The price of the batteries I use are €5 for a pack of 6,
but I buy the special offer and get 5 packs for €20.

If you can get someone you know to bring you some back from the UK
Much cheaper to by them from Amazon

My hearing aid batteries last 5-7 days depending on use. Compared to Memory Man's post it strongly suggest it depends on the type of hearing aid which I guess is not surprising.

The price for batteries over here is absurd. I buy them on Amazon, Hearing Direct or Ebay for around £13 for a box of 10 x 6 packs.

Another quick question;...How does one know when the battery is about to expire. You can tell that it is all new to me.

It says " Battery" about 15 minutes before it says " Battery " again
then cuts off.

My hearing aids originally said "Battery" in a gruff, male American voice. I had them reprogrammed to give civilised bleep tones instead!
