Post by Poppy »

Has anyone else got problems with Facebook?
I cannot get onto my Timeline or any of my friends timelines
Any suggestions?

Whilst we are on the subject of Facebook what does everyone think about it? Love it or hate it?
Sometimes I feel as though it is intrusive but I have re-connected with so many people - friends from School and childhood who I had not heard from in 50 years - recently friends from work who I had not heard of in 15 years and it is really lovely to be in contact again! One friend from childhood who was the witness at my wedding and I was godmother to her daughter but her marriage broke up and we lost touch actually was holidaying in paphos last year just after we had found each other on Facebook and so we met up - had not seen one another for over 40 years but it was like there had never been that gap and we never shut up!!

I use a piece of kit called "Facebook Purity" - it stamps out all those adverts and other intrusive stuff that facebook comes up with.... very easy to use and no more annoying popups or trying to point me to somewhere I don't want to go. I only get to see what I want to see - much better!

It was great to be able to pass on messages to my Mum after my Dad died last October. So many friends they had lost touch with after they left their home town to live in Knott End 30yrs ago all came out of the woodwork to send their best wishes....

I love Facebook and am logged in all day when I am at home. I am in a group formed around a Northwest UK town.
I too use "Facebook Purity" to do away with the adverts.

I do use Facebook, simply to keep in touch with friends in UK, and mainly from my last place of work and town I lived in. I do find I need to be a tad selective in what I watch, copy, share etc but no real probs.
