When you buy a SIM card from a kiosk do they now offer a choice of size , micro or nano ? Or do they only sell standard size and you have to get them cut down ? Thank you .

When I got my new phone I went to Cyta where they cut the card down & loaded it for me. Very helpful people.

The SIMs are "multipurpose" you simply pop the micro or nano SIMs out from inside the old standard size so you can fit them to any phone.

Thanks Andrew which card company has the multipurpose ? Last time I bought a cyta so easy it was full size . But I must admit that was years ago .

And of course many people may want to buy newer modern phone and keep the old sim, or at least the old number..

Had a reply from MTN they are the same , buy a big sim then bring it to their shop for cut down or replacement . So no point buying from a kiosk , no where to shove it . It's about time they got rid of old stock , micro and nano have been the norm for years now .

So I visited my local kiosk , the helpfull young lady assured me the sim was multipurpose . The packs are security sealed so no chance to check what's in them . So I took the plunge and bought one . They are indeed multipurpose but only standard and micro , not nano . Any way the the new phone I have just got is duel (micro and nano) so all good .

I got one for €7 I think with €5 talktime included.

Basically, it was peanuts.

Euro 10 lasts 1 year with Cyta pre-paid SIMs.

I strongly believe that when you buy a Cyta SoEasy card and have credit on it, then it should NEVER expire!!!

Such a phylosophy applies here in UK on my Virgin PAYG sim. So long as you are in credit, it never expires, and you never have credit eaten up.

Now why cannot Cyta do something similar, knowing that many of their SoEasy users are once a year (or less) visitors? WHY make them jump through hoops every year, to add needless credit, in order to just keep their mobile number active? When their account is in credit!!!

Most UK PAYG SIM's require a 'chargeable even' every X months to stay active.

It does cost the network to keep the numbers active an available to use ...

I don't think a charge of €10 a year is too bad, it does include calls to that amount..
