Phoenix Ambulance Service

Post by Kili01 »

I have just read on the 'other' Paphos website about what has happened to the above named private ambulance service, which had previously been based in Peyia, then Kissonerga.
I thought there was a post on here in which some members had expressed their own concern about where the 4 ambulances which were previoysly based in Kissonerga (where the Alpha Bank once was), had gone. However, maybe I was dreaming as it seems to have disappeared.

Anyway, I have found the answer contained in a thread on the other forum. I do not have the skills to either post it on here, or to paraphase it. Also, I would need Dominic's permission.

But the contents of the posting by John Thompson, the owner and chief para medic at Phoenix is self explanitory and somehat disturbing as it seems that the merger with a certain local clinic has turned in to a takeover, and he has now resigned. The ambulances are alleged to be operating without any paramedics or specially trained medical staff or specialised equipment.

Might be worth reading.
