Condolences

Post by Dominic »

During a discussion regarding ambulance services, Al revealed that his dear wife had just passed away. Naturally people want to offer their condolences, so I have done my best to extract the relevent posts into a separate condolences thread. This way, people can still discuss the ambulance thread without feeling disrespectful, and the condolences can be sent without being surrounded by other discussions.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Emphasising with this, because my darling wife Györgyi slipped away comfortably, painlessly, gently at 10:40 BST this morning, God rest her soul... XXXX

Thankyou all my friends here on PL, and earlier ones on CL who met this beautiful lady face to face in August 2003, when our daughter Erika married Tim in Peyia, for your kind condolescences...

Bear with me if I'm not posting my gibberish quite as often over the coming few weeks. I'll be back!

@Dominic: Fully understand your post above. Best call !!!

Cheers- AL :(

the LATE Brian Ovary? Lord BrianO? You, Jacs and I went round his half-finished new build on Sea Caves yonks ago, to view progress, remember?

So he's passed away now? Sorry to hear that, Jim... RIP Lord BrianO !!! Any idea why he passed away, Jim?

Hello Al,

I was truly touched by your post & wish to send you my heartfelt condolences at your terrible loss, I'm just guessing, but I'm pretty sure we have all been where you are now....carry on posting lad...it matters not if it's just gibberish!!!, we are all capable of that!

What matters is that you have mates that understand what you are going through & I'm sure, will try & help you in any way they can...by the way, we have an apt. In lower Pegia...when your ready...you are more than welcome to stay there...you won't have to bring your own bedding etc. ...... .....just yourself.

Just keep posting...you make me smile...😊 X

Well done Dominic. I sent Al a private message. Although I've known Al for years I never met Georgi, she rarely came over, I think it was just for Erika and Tims wedding and I was unable to get over. I do know that they had a good and happy marriage and Georgi will be sorely missed, but I'm equally sure Al and Erika did the absolute utmost for Georgi in her time of need and were there with her to the end.
RIP Georgi x
(Apologies Al, can't do the Hungarian Georgi x)

Weep not for me though I have gone
Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my soul's sweet fight

I am at peace, my soul’s at rest
There is no need for tears
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years

There is no pain, I suffer not
The fear is now all gone
Put now these things out of your thoughts
In your memory I live on

Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life
What we are
What we have been
What we intend to be
is shown more in the Patience we exhibit than through any other virtue

Sincere condolences Al.

The life that I have
Is all that I have
And the life that I have
Is yours.
The love that I have
Of the life that I have
Is yours and yours and yours.
A sleep I shall have
A rest I shall have
Yet death will be but a pause.
For the peace of my years
In the long green grass
Will be yours and yours and yours.
