Cyprus set for new gold rush

After the black gold offshore now the real thing on the slopes of the Troodos mountains! Hope they get it right and don't destroy the environment too much...

Probably some property developer putting the gossip out in order to get the land dug over and flattened by some very cheap (free) labour ;-)
Don't all go running to the hills to help him out now....

I recall scrabbling around several years ago by the old chrome mines for some decent sized pieces where they used to churn it into the trucks at the bottom of the pulley system. We did quite well with that on eBay :-)

The good old days when I worked shifts and made the very most of the time I had off in between them. Fun times!

The last time I heard about gold prospecting here there were helicopters scanning the land around us for days.
