Man found dead at a beach in Paphos

Post by memory man »

An unidentified man was found early this morning at a beach near Tombs of the Kings in Paphos. The man, who appears to be of middle age, was naked and has some injuries believed to be the result of an attack.

The man was found early this morning by a citizen who immediately informed the Police.

Members of the Paphos Police cordonned off the area and started investigations. The man had no clothes or any papers on him indicating his identity. However, he seems to be around 60 and due to his injuries it is assumed that he has been the victim of an attack. For this reason, a coroner has also been called for an autopsy.

The Police are investigating the circumstances and causes of death of Andreas Katsaris, 57 years old, from Paphos, who was found dead this morning on a beach in Paphos.
The 57-year-old was found dead around 6:30 on Sunday morning, on a beach in the Tombs of the Kings area. As it was established after an autopsy carried out by a Medical Examiner, he had a broken nose. During a preliminary forensic examination with a CT scan, no internal injuries have been detected on the body. The exact causes of the 57-year-old's death are expected to become clear with the execution of an official autopsy scheduled to be performed by a Medical Examiner at a later stage.
After investigations carried out by members of the Police, the 57-year-old's car was found, parked and locked, in a hotel parking lot, approximately 1,300 meters from where the 57-year-old was found dead. On the beach in front of the same hotel, his personal items were found, such as clothes, his wallet, and his car keys. According to the data under investigation, the 57-year-old used to go swimming every day, in the morning hours.
TAE Paphos is investigating.
