Probably this won't affect us in Paphos at present as only 4 cameras have been installed so far, according to the article. The present ones are in Nicosia. But there are 26 more on order, so its a question of time until a few of these appear locally.
But the mobile ones may appear probably focused on the highways and dual carriageways....

Ah, but, you wouldn't know which cameras were not working or switched off
so knowing the location of these cameras you "might" adjust your speed or other
offence as you approached them.
In that case, I think the cameras are doing their job ( on or off ).

So! As usual, Cyprus introduces new things at the same time as other countries abandon them. The same applies to, for example, natural gas and especially liquefaction plants. The dinosaur that takes at least 10 years to turn round to find out who is treading on its tail.
