I have had to renew some of the lagging around the hot water pipes on our roof. The sunshine seems to perish the foam rubber lagging over the years.

Probably not to bad at the coast frost wise but certainly up in the hills you need to lag any exposed pipes hot or cold supply, same goes for covering solar panels in very cold weather,we regularly have frosts here and have known of damaged pipes and panels, spending a few euros on lagging can prevent future trouble, also lagging hot water pipe from tank helps keep water supply to taps warmer so less waste running water to get hot water

We used pipe lagging tape. We got it from OneStop it's basically a 50 mm rolls of plastic adhesive tape. Please use white, the black decays very quickly in the sun.

We have found lots of other uses for the tape. Its very tacky.
