From Dora to Trozena in 4k!

Post by Dominic »

In this film we drive from Dora to Trozena. We also traverse the Bailey Bridge which was built by British forces about 70 years ago. We then drive up through the abandoned village of Trozena, and finish at a church overlooking the Diarizos Valley.

As an experiment we used two cameras in this film, so at times the scene will cut to a side-view showing a spectacular panorama. Let us know what you think of it.

As nobody replied to your question: I quite like the fact that one can see much more than only the road in front of you and a bit on the sides. However it is difficult and a bit disturbing when the foreground moves too fast in front of your eyes when using the sideways mounted camera. I did not play with the speed, but this could help in this case.
This second camera produces in my opinion less colorful images, but is not too important. Sure you have much more work than with a single camera.
I wonder if there are wide-angle objectives on the market to avoid 2 cameras??

Altogether a very nice film though....

I'm doing a film of the drive to Blue Lagoon and it is more suited for that. Partly because you are driving more slowly, and partly because the side scene is mainly of a more distant panorama.

The camera I am using in this film for the front view is wide-angle. It does have a wider setting but I'm not that keen on it as I don't like the distortion. However, I could use it in one film and see how it gets received...
