I would take issue with the last sentence in the article
"By making credit card payments compulsory, Cyprus aligned its national legislation with EU directives."
It is not making Credit card payments compulsory.. But people have to have the opportunity to pay by card if they wish to

Jcc Smart are snowed under with new applications and it will take quite a while to clear the back log. According to our accountant it could take 12 months before everyone who should, has got a card reader system set up.
