Because it’s Saturday

Post by Sadie »

Morning all
I had an appointment yesterday with a neurosurgeon at The Iasis hospital.
When I booked in at reception I was told, 6€ please.
I explained I had reached my maximum co payment of 150€ so the visit should be free.
The reception staff said, it’s Saturday so therefore you pay today
Is this a thing?
Does the maximum co payment only count mon-fri 9-5?
If you never ask the question, the answer will always be....no

I have seen the Rheumatologist at the Iasis on a Saturday (my choice) and I had to pay something like 25 euros.. So it would seem that Gesy may be Monday to Friday. OR it may be that the weekend is when the doctors see their private patients

Why don’t you try calling the GESY helpline who can give you the correct info. :)

I regularly see an ENT specialist on a Saturday morning and the GESY €6 charge is all I have ever paid.
