Sunday lunch

Post by El tel »

Does anyone have any recommendations for Sunday lunch in the Peyia area ? I can think of some venues but I am looking for a picturesque setting with sea views but cannot think of anything suitable . Thank you .

Porto Antico - similar setting to Oniros.

And can you see the sea from Vatouthkia?

I was thinking of Porto Antico when I typed it so I have no idea why I put Vathoukia 🤷🏽‍♂️

I am sure the food is excellent but looking out over a pile of rusting scrap metal would not be my cup of tea. Porto Antico perhaps. 8-)

Happy in Cyprus , thanks for the photos , have been their a number of times over the years and it looks as if there has been more improvements , must check out the menu as I used to regard it as a tapas bar rather than a restaurant.

Ps we had a fair amount of rain in Peyia at 3.30am this morning.

Oniros has expanded beyond its control of staff versus customers and its ability to provide the service people expect.we went as a party of 14 booked well in advance arrived before time were seated requested drinks and waited 25 minutes for them to be delivered. Placed our orders and a similair wait. On a positive food was very good when it finally arrived but who wants to wait over an hour for a drink and meal !!!

The ship certainly looks more like a rusted old hulk these days. She looks ready to be broken up.

Irrespective of how good the restaurant is or is not the wreck is indeed an Eyesore and should have been removed years ago, "But this is Cyprus".

If you owned one of the Villas next to it i am sure you may have a different attitude, its a rusting pile of Scrap. 8-)

My understanding is that it can't be removed without destroying the coral / seabed and that is why it remains where it is

Absoulutly not some of those villas have been there a lot longer than the heap of scrap. 8-)
