Chimney sweep
Re: Chimney sweep
Bizarre coincidence. I was in the charity shop in Polemi one day last week and noticed they have been donated a chimney sweep brush. So there’s always the DIY option.

Re: Chimney sweep
We had a bird up our chimney a couple of years ago and I expected lots of soot to come out with it. Nothing appeared though, other than the bird. I was most surprised.

Re: Chimney sweep
Thermodynamics on the Mesogi Ave arranged for our chimney to be swept. Can recall name of guy I’m afraid but he was very tidy. HTH

Do you still use IriniHappy in Cyprus wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 3:57 am Jonny Fox it is then, thank you everyone. The last time we had it swept almost no soot came down, but we were sold some duff (wet) wood a couple of years ago, so there may be more this time.

We stopped using her too, she became very expensive and we were getting smaller and smaller loads.Happy in Cyprus wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 1:24 am No, not after she (knowingly) delivered a complete load of wet wood, which probably gave rise to the smoked-up chimney problem which requires me to seek a chimney-cleaner now. Plus got fed up hearing all the hard luck stories. Have found a far better supplier, a forestry worker, with dry, seasoned, hardwoods. We, and daughter, now each buy 3 cu.M from him each July, which then sees us all the way through the winter.
Don’t suppose you fancy sharing your new contact? TIA
