Sunday Lunch

Post by Suetal »

Hi
We are coming over next Wednesday for 10 days and will be going out for Sunday Lunch
Any suggestions would be welcome, we have been to Gustoso, which is very good but would like to try somewhere new.
Thanks in advance

Where are you staying? In Paphos or in one of the villages? Do you have transport?

Up in Tala Square you will find the "the Square bistro " they do a very good traditional Sunday lunch with choice of all the various meats. This would save you a car journey then no worries about what to drink. Then you could fall out and cross the road to Marios bar for a busy afternoon.

Why not try Lava in Chloraka? They do a buffet on Thursday evening and Sunday for €9.50. Food is a mix of local and Russian and very tasty. We are going, again, tomorrow!

Its just down the road from Petzstuff if you know where that is.

I love the Cypriot sunday lunch with the Greek salad and choice of main dishes. They are delicious. Lots of the taverns are closed at the moment though.

My main objection to Cypriot food is "Chips and Salad" with what ever they offer. I know the odd Cypriot restaurant that will offer proper Veg and Roast potatoes, but they are rare.

I will close the door behind me.

I dont think i have eaten a typical British sunday lunch in Cyprus ever, it does not quit seem right to me, prefer the Salad and Cypriot choices, But everyone to there own.
I started off with nothing and have most of it left !
