171.new cases of COVID-19, four deaths on Friday

The Health Ministry announced the death of four persons due to COVID-19. This raises the death toll from the virus in Cyprus to 346, 229 men and 117 women with an average age of 77.5. The Health Ministry announced 171 new Coronavirus cases out of 92,823 PCR and rapid antigen tests on Friday, 14 May, taking confirmed infections to 70,742....

This is a positivity rate of 0.18%, and a clear indication of the success of the latest lockdown and the increasing uptake of the vaccine.
