Unless you are going privately I think you will need a referral from your GP.. So, would it not be a good idea to ask him or her.

I am seeing a Rheumatologist, for Rheumatoid Arthritis and I have found him to be very good.. His name is Doctor Therapontos at the Iasis Hospital. But my problem is mainly joints and only a little about the muscles.. But after a week or more and for a few months, I have had no pain, and no loss of movement..

Thanks trevnhil, I already have a referral from my GP but I've not been overly impressed on the last couple of visits to the rheumy.

I would also recommend Dr Therapontos at the Iasis. I see him because of Ankylosing Spondylitis which is also an auto immune condition.

Sadie, I think we're talking about the same rheumatologist near Paps supermarket. Have you found a new one that you're happy with?

Thanks for the information......

Is Dr Therapontos resident at the Iasis, or does he visit on a particular day each week?

It would be useful to have this information before I call. Thank you.

I am not sure which city he is based or lives at, but I do know he has a clinic in Limassol as well as one in the Iasis at Paphos. So therefore he is not available all week. However I have seen him at 7-30 in the morning at Paphos and a Saturday afternoon..
