Skygo

Post by sueb »

Has anyone else lost Skygo?

Went off on the 30th December.

Is it due to UK not being in the EU.

Miss what it gave us to watch.

The last question. If you have a VPN are you still able to watch Skygo.

Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

Yep! It’s gone and Amazon prime is now also restricted.

I’ve tried a couple of VPN’s but they don’t work either. I’m currently in a Hotel under quarantine but I’ll try again when I get home after the weekend to see if that’s a contributing factor.

Quarantine in the Annabelle is what it is and quieter now that the 12 or so students have left! Apparently stay in your room and do not mix means run up and down the corridor and chat with your mates until 2.00am 🙄😀

Bt sport has also gone, but worked with Hotspot Shield. However, Amazon Prime would not work today. Watched it last night without a VPN. However, got it to work by changing my location to USA. Netflix works OK with UK subscription.

The Digital Media parts of the result of Brexit will affect all broadcasts from outside the EU (UK), for EU residents, and from the EU for UK ones.
It will also have effect on the Roaming part of mobile phones, still to be fully decided and each provider may have different terms. So, rather than a European-wide agreement, the UK maybe barred. Nobody knows yet.

Location of servers for data will also be affected. This could cause problems we haven’t even envisaged.

Brexit is by no means a clean process. It will lead to very fractious arguments with each side blaming the other and not good for ongoing relationships.

It has already started with Britain sending 4 warships into the Channel to ‘patrol’ fishing waters. France has also blasted aspects of the agreement and Britain’s handling of the referendum and lies told.

I can envisage relations being fraught between England and France - which the media have stoked for every. “Frogs” still being a term used by the media.
