Seems a bit hefty just for not having distance markings and instructions on how to wear masks. OK if the police found people not wearing masks or not adhering to social distancing but that is not what the report says

Yikes-that is a very heavy fine. Hmm, was he arguing and causing a disturbance as well?

Why is the establishment not named. It could be any type of business. Could it be a brothel? that is an establishment. Or a dodgy hotel that rents rooms by the hour.

Maybe this particular 'establishment' has received fines previously for flouting the law?

We don’t usually allow “naming and shaming” either. I have no wish to end up in court.

There is no need for us to know the name of the establishment. We are all masters of our own destiny, so if upon entering an establishment you find it is not abiding by the rules then simply turn around and walk out.

Happened to us in a pub in Tenby, S. Wales in August....
We were both asked to sign in and directed to a table. A bit later a group of 5 lads from Chepstow also signed in and seated. They were followed about ten minutes later by 2 more from their group but they were refused entry as it made too many for the table.

In between another group of 7 locals had arrived, a nod to the door staff, no signing in, all squashed around a single table and 2 of the party went and got served at the bar.

We got up to leave as we were unhappy with the events but told the Chepstow lads their friends who were still outside could have our table if they wanted it.
The lads however, had already spotted what had happened too and it ended up that we all walked out together....
