Coronavirus: Free tests for all Paphos residents to start Monday

Post by Paphos Life »

The ministry of health and Mediwell Home Healthcare Services announced on Sunday they will provide free coronavirus tests for all citizens of Paphos.

According to a Mediwell statement, from Monday tests will be taken in the 28th of October square outside the town hall from 9am to 5pm in addition to outside the town hall in Polis Chrysochous from 9am to 1pm.

Mediwell called on citizens to take five minutes out of their day to undergo the test.

“All together we can and we will stop the spread of the virus,” a statement said, adding that the test would be free.

Does anyone know whether this 'offer' is only for the one week or will it be extended to cover the whole of the present lockdown period.

Just read a report from a lady who had the free test this morning in Paphos. You complete a form giving your name, date of birth and phone number.
All very organised and social distancing observed. Results sent to your phone in approx 24 hours.

A friend of ours had the same experience in Polis this morning, an orderly 25 min wait.

When I went down to the square this afternoon there were only a few people waiting.Filled in my form as instructed. Had the test while standing on some steps outside the building. All done very efficiently. I was told that the test we are all having is the Rapid Antigen test and that my results would arrive by text to my mobile, by the end of the day.
