Post by Sadie »

Morning all
Has anyone had PRP therapy injections into a hip joint, how was it and was it successful?
Thanks

I have a friend who had it on her knee and she is pleased with the result.
Have you thought about having stem cell treatment instead? This is more expensive than PRP but should only need to be done once, whereas PRP will have to be repeated.
My partner had it done on his knee at the Blue Cross. Another friend had her knee done and her partner had his shoulder done and all are delighted with the results.

Lucky lady, do you know if it was done under Gesy?

Hi Sadie, sadly no. The price of the Stem Cell was 1,500 euros or 2,000 for both knees. PRP was about 600 euros but would need to be done every year or two. PRP may be available under GESY, but I really don't know.
Good Luck
