A temporary decree to suspend the operation of a kiosk in Chloraka was issued yesterday by the Paphos District Court, following a relevant request submitted by the Police.

According to the force, during the daily inspections for the implementation and observance of the protection measures against the spread of the coronavirus, violations of the Law on Infection and the relevant Ministerial decrees were repeatedly found. During the inspections carried out by the Police, on four different dates, violations of the relevant legislation for the decontamination were found.

At the same time, it was found that the kiosk was operating without the necessary permission from the local authority.

During inspections carried out by members of the Minor Offenses Department of the Paphos Central Police Station, on June 14 and 20, as well as last Thursday, August 20, it was found, among other things, that the premises were not adequately marked, while the staff did not receive the necessary individual protection measures.

In addition, during an inspection carried out at the premises on August 6, by members of the Paphos Police Directorate, it was found that there was more than the allowed number of people in the area, while the cashier did not observe the necessary individual protection measures when serving customers.

Against the Directorate of the premises, it was registered on Monday morning, in the District Court of Paphos, for trial, a case of violations of the Legislation for decontamination, while with its registration, the Police submitted a request for a temporary suspension until the establishment of the premises. case, which was accepted by the Court.

The trial of the case was set by the Paphos District Court for next Friday, August 28.
