I thought Jet2 were not going to start flights to Cyprus until the UK was category A. Perhaps they know something ?
Not optimistic about my easyJet flight at the end of August.

People were commenting about this yesterday but there was nothing on Jet2s website or other media pages, except for one twitter response to a direct question from another member. That appeared to indicate they were still awaiting some clarification.

Thank you for the info , was not aware of that. You would have thought EJ would have let me know , but I will not be flying out if we are still not category A.

The UK is not Cat A at present. Anyone comIng here has to apply for and fill in and submit a Cyprus Flight Pass and to have a Covid 19 PCR test Neg, within 72 hrs before departure. You need to bring evidence of this too, according to our local press here in Cyprus, Jet2, Easy Jet et al, passengers will also have to do this too.
Cyprus is a Grade A country and health measures are very strict here for everyone.

It's the negative PCR test and the timing of it as well as having to complete the online Flight Pass form 24hrs before travel which is causing problems from UK.

If your flight is on a Monday or early on a Tuesday it means arranging your Covid-19 test, which cannot be taken more than 72hrs before your departure time is difficult and may mean the results aren't back in time to upload to the Flight Pass form.

Add this to the fact flights are still being juggled, switched and sometimes cancelled at very short notice, it can be an expensive exercise for families taking a package holiday and this is why Jet2holidays said they wouldn't operate.

Other companies which operate as a flight only route have been offering them but those still are being juggled around due to numbers of people (or lack of) and amalgamated to different days.

And then you also have to bear this in mind too!
